I have a Bernina, and I use the thread from Connecting Threads. I love all the colors they have, the large spools, and the price is great.

I don't have a Bernina, but I have noticed that some projects certainly are very linty. Doesn't seem to be a particular brand of either thread or fabric. I just make sure to blow out the bobbin area each time I refill or change out the bobbin.

My Bernina is not thread picky. It has sewn beautifully with every thread I have ever put in it. I used Connecting Threads Essential most for my cotton threads. It is linty, but my experience is almost all cotton threads are.

I also like Aurifil, but it is very expensive.
