Thread from Connecting Threads

I use it for piecing and I like it a lot. Like the price better as I usually wait till they're on sale and stock up. Not many problems with it except the lint. It is linty but for the price...
I just all around really like Connecting Threads. The books are usually a good price and again, generous sales. Be sure to check them out for Black Friday specials. It's quickly becoming my own little tradition to online shop there then.

It is lintier, but I've used it for several years, having bought several at a time, and do fine with it. I'd adore using only Aurifil but it definitely not in my budget these days.

I use the Essential Pro a lot. It's 70 wt and almost lint free. I use it for piecing both on top and bobbin. It's strong enough for fmq. I like Aurifil and Superior threads too. Superior has a new micro quilting thread that is excellent.

i use CT nearly all the time.
my machines are either janome or brother.
it works equally well on both.
i have never found it to produce any more lint than does aurifil.
