I do the same when I am working, especially in the yard, and find I need something from Home Depot, etc., to finish the job.

And Midwife - you and I must have the same stylist! I wear mostly dark colors so of course I have 2 light colored cats. My style is definitely cat hair and threads.

Where can I get me some of those "demon" jeans? That typo gave me a good laugh! Seems I am not the only one with fat fingers...

I was careful to insist on a smooth laminate flooring in my sewing room, easy to dust up threads. I also keep a bag by the machine for threads and snips too small to use. If your sewing area is carpeted, a plastic tablecloth would help.

Mine, too! I wear them as a badge of honor. If anyone is troubled, they may look the other way. After I came out of my cataract fog a few years ago I was a little surprised at how much thread turns up in unexpected places, but I haven't been losing any sleep over it. The only thread I have to be sure to keep under control is thread that is long enough to make the cats sick if they ingest it. That can be fatal, and it includes thread that they might reel right off a spool. I keep the sewing room off limits to the pets.

I did a double take on "demon", then it gave me a good laugh, too!

There is a pet hair brush that rolls and it has a bin that catches all hair (thread) then when full you just take to trash and empty. I am trying to find the item on-line. I will attach the name when I locate it. You push and pull this roller quickly with short stokes works wonderful for hair and threads on clothes and carpet.

I heard them referred to as “quilt poop” and have cheerily called them such since.
