Default Tiara and Sweet Sixteen owners...

I just purchased a Tiara and was hoping to get some information about using rulers and guides with my new machine. Can you use them? What kind do you use? Any other tips I should know about? What thread do you use? Thanks so much for any information you can give me.

Yes - you certainly can use rulers. Handiquilter sells long arm rulers that work. The key is the ruler needs to be 1/4 inch thick - so you can't use the ruler you would use with your rotary trimmer. This is so that you don't accidentally slide the ruler under the hopping foot and create a timing problem (or worse). It takes a bit of coordination to figure out how to move the ruler with the fabric, but it really can be done with just 2 hands.

I've got superior on my machine now, and King Tut in line for the next project. The SS is very open to a variety of threads.

Have you joined the Yahoo group? There is a wealth of information through there.

    Cheers, K

I have tried to find a Yahoo group, unsuccessfully. Can you give me a hint on how to find it? I joined Yahoo, went to Groups, entered Baby Lock Tiara and Handiquilter Sweet Sixteen in the Search engine... and nothing.

Thanks, Kirsten. I've signed up and am awaiting approval. I still don't understand why I couldn't find the site myself. Oh, well. Technology!

It can be hard to find. We have a group for our neighborhood that even though it should be easy to find, I have to use a link from my email if I'm not on a computer where it is bookmarked.
