I see it in a lot of quilting mags, all sizes but don't know what I'd use it for. what did they do with it?

    Is it for hand quilting?

I believe it is a tape to help you evenly space your hand quilting stitches.

edit: LOL At least we all agree!!

They used it across the bottom of these folded over ribbon.Maybe it's a tacky piece of tape to hold the ribbon down.Maybe I'm going to Google and see what it is.

It is a roll of 1/4" wide tape used as a guide for getting even stitches in quilting. It is marked 9 lines to the inch. You stitch down the line to practice.

it's good for beginners. there is also one that helps with making half square triangles. Instead of using the 1/4" ruler to mark the diagonal of a square and stiching either side of the mark, you place the tape down on the diagonal and sew right next to it.

If I ever do, which I won't, hand quilting, I would definitely use that. It sure would give a ditz like me nice, even stitches.

I have some. Can't remember what I bought it for. The tape is a little stiff if I remember right.
