time to talk about safety

OUCH, sorry to hear, hopefully all goes well.
I broke my arm 9 yrs ago (just shy of compound). But it did not go as planned, the 6 wks + Physical Therapy. Did not heal properly and had to have it re-broke, graft from hip bone and plate put in. Followed by more PT, then surgery again, because plate was affecting mobility. So 1 year and 1 month, the Dr said I was done. But, I am a big believer in Physical Therapy.
So, if you Dr. suggest PT do it. DH broke his wrist in high school (before PT was the norm) and he is limited because of it. As we get older our bodies, in general, start limiting us and broken bones just make things harder.
Good luck and speedy healing.

So sorry to hear about your accident. Broken bones are no fun. Made it all the way to 68 years without any broken bones, then broken vertebra. Most painful thing I ever had. Hope you heal quickly. Quilting on hold is not a good thing. Lucky for me, I can't get up on a chair anymore, so I HAVE to use a steps tool. I am vertically challenged.

I'm 4'11" and I don't like bottom cabinets either--bad knees and back. Once I get down, I can't get back up. LOL I'm much safer on a step stool, always making sure I hang on.

It is very frustrating being a crafter and only able to use 1 hand, lol. I may have to get a good book.I am not one to watch tv too much either.maybe watch some quilters on youtube to fill the time.I had quilted a few baby quilts --now they will not get their binding for a long time.well just be very careful and do not get hurt.

Oh, that's so sad. But it could have been worse, so we have to take our blessings where we find them! I jumped off a chair the week before my daughter's wedding and scraped my leg just below the knee. I had a huge, lovely bruise for the wedding. That was June 30th... and I still have a small bruise and it still hurts to touch! Hopefully it will be gone before shorts season rolls around again.
Sorry about the wrist, heal quickly!

Hope you're feeling better!!
I'll add another safety reminder. Lock your rotary blades if you have little ones over. My 3 year old grandson helped himself yesterday and although it was only a cut to 1 finger, it looked as if someone had commited a murder. *worst grandma award goes right here*
