Timeless Treasures fabric
Is anyone using the Timeless Treasures Plume collection? I think it is one of their best, but the fabric Royal Peacocks has a 13" bird and I am at a loss on how to put that on a quilt. Has someone done it?

Check out the March/April issue of McCalls Quilting. On page 20 is a quilt using the Plume fabrics. I have been tempted to buy the fabric but until now did not want to have a QIB (quilt in the brain). Too many quilts there anyway.

I went on line and looked at the info on that quilt. For goodness sake! they used that wonderful peacock fabric as the backing! I am thinking of having it as an applique on the front - not on the back. and I wasn't that impressed with the front either. It was a rather ordinary block pattern, although the fabric is outstanding. With fabric like that I expect a block buster OH WOW THAT KNOCKS MY SOCKS OFF quilt, not just another quilt.

Sometimes they don't make the best use of a gorgeous fabric when they're making their sample project quilts, do they?
And have you seen Royal Peacocks by Hoffman? http://www.favoritefabric.com/cgi/co...P&keywords=all
This group also has a large scale peacock design, but in softer colors. I would be interested to see what people create from this one, too!
