I have read more bad reviews about tin lizzy then good. Most is how bad the customer service is for them.

I don't have Tin Lizzie, I LA with an Innova. I just crawl underneath with a flashlight to check my stitches. Can also tell by feel if things are not going well. I have heard of people just putting a mirror underneath but I think that would be difficult to tell, unless things were REALLY bad.

I've never heard of this. I have a Pfaff, which is made by TL (although a Pfaff person recently emphasized to me that Pfaff then does there own upgrades/changes to the machine before putting it on the market). I'd like to know more about this, as I am always wondering/worrying about what's going on under the quilt.
