I just recently purchased and received a pre-2007 Tin Lizzie 18, one of the original heavy ones. The instruction manuals I received with the machine do not explain the handle controls at all. My controls are the single control box with knobs for stitch length and machine speed and 2 switches for QCC mode and speed mode, with an additional toggle switch for needle up and needle down.

Here's my problem: I'm able to set the machine in speed mode and sew fine. I'm just not able to set it into Stitch Regulated mode. Is there a special method to get into Stitch Regulated mode? Perhaps a correct sequence to turn the switches on? Or did I just purchase a machine with a bad Stitch Regulator board? And I'll need to send it in for repair?
