I tell them I paid to have a machine that I won't have to do upgrades to later on down the road its an investment in me.
Someone once said, "I know someone who bought a very expensive boat and uses it 3 times in the summer and then it sat in storage all winter. At least a quilting machine I can use year round". So that is what I say now when people comment that they think it is a lot of money to spend on something.

To get the most benefit from your Tin Lizzie 18 go to the Yahoo Groups and join the Tin Lizzie group. A lot of helpful information on it to help you get started. Also, there are YouTube videos by Tin Lizzie on how to make adjustments etc.
