Jenell, I had two sewn wrong side up. Amazing what you don't see...while sewing, when ironing, and then pinning to the wall. Only noticed it when I took all the blocks off the wall and began again.

I love the blues Sharon. And I like the plain pieces like that. It looks like it is supposed to be there. Kind of like when they but the block piece in. Everyone is doing such a great job. I am so proud of all of you!

Yeah, I'm liking the way you suggested better but will go with the regular blocks separate for a bit and see how it goes when I do the other half. Damned dummy that I was to not count exactly!

How beautiful !! I just registered because I found this tutorial a few days ago and have been reading from hiding.... Thank you cutebuns for your super clear instructions and photos, and thank you everyone for sharing pictures of all your fabrics and gorgeous blocks, tips and support. It's due to you folks and the inspiring and supportive atmosphere you create that I'm now fired up enough to start my own (and encouraged to come out of hiding to tell you!). Hi, thank you, and  to teacher and students!

You are welcome ( everyone else that has been thanking me as well ). It is a lot of fun. This is a good group of people On The board. There is another thread on the cutting if you missed it as well. It is hard to miss. There are still people finding fabric and cutting so join in any time. And if you need any more help just shout. ( even if you want to start later you are always free to ask and the directions will be here for a long time to come )

Cute, I have been following along, and am sooo excited to try this one that looks so daunting! I can't do this one yet, I am wading my way through machine quilting my first one right now. Buying, cutting, and sewing fabric is so much more fun than this part! Lol, thanks for the awesome tutorial, I cannot wait to try it!! ~Karen

Thank you for your welcome, cutebuns and mimisharon, that's wonderful. I'll head over to the cutting thread and post a couple of pictures, in fact that's where I meant to say hello in the first place... Posted in the wrong place! :-)

Y'know I'm loving to see you test options, with and without the extra triangles and stuff. "Mistake" leading to experiments and new inspiration, it's great! (And it's making me a bit less scared of course, so that's good too... ) And I'm so loving your blue-blue fabric.
