thanks Cutie, I like it this way much better. It feels right to me! Thanks again for all your help, you got me thru something I was afraid to do! I got way behind on my DJ blocks, but that's okay! Well worth it!

Yes, mine are calling my name. Hopefully I make progress this weekend, although I have to get Sophia's class auction quilt done. All I have left is the binding. It's made, I just need to sew it down, then hand-sew it to the back. It's 57 x64 so it shouldn't take too long to sew it, right? Famous last words...

salmonsweet I love the 2 sizes of blocks :D:D:D I can't wait to see how you incorporate the two!!! The animal print blocks are awesome also, there is a lot to be said for subtlety...plus you can do a lot with the borders :D:D:D

Obie2 I love your new layout!!! It is beautiful!!! Good job :D:D:D

Esqmommy, I liked the other border, but you were right to change it, these really do set off your blocks much better :D:D:D

I have 1/2 of the top sewn together... I love how the back looks after pressing...I have been trying to think of a way to replicate it in a different quilt :D:D:D:D

I really really love them all! All of them are so striking and beautiful!

You did a fantastic job with the borders although, Esq, I did like the look of the original borders. But YOU have to like/love the quilt top. I have the first border on mine and hope to be able to put the second border on today. Then pictures.

    Hugs

    Thank you amma, and esqmommy!

Esq, I love your new border look. Like a precious antique brooch. And you sound much happier, which makes for a happy-looking quilt...
BTW I'm in awe of the Dear Jane work you are all doing. What a great idea and the skill that goes into replicating all these blocks!

Obie, I love it. It reminds me of the northern lights. And you did a great job lining them up. This way it is a lot easier to see how it will go together. Job well done!
