Thanks everyone. Yes, the animals are going to be appliqued on top of the blocks. The animals on the lower right are not the same arrangement as they were in the print. They just wanted to be together down there and the "King" is all alone watching everyone. Actually the lion is covering a block I decided just didn't work but the strips were all sewn up so............ LOL

Everyone's tops are looking really great. I hope to make one sometime in the future, I have a couple more to go before, maybe sometime in the summer. Everyone is doing such a great job.

That must be how the writer adds a piece of the original fabric to the blocks. I never even thought of applique, I was trying to figure out how to cut a hexagon in half and sew it back together without messing up the pattern.

You are all doing awesome, sorry I went missing, I had a bad weekend and it took a bit to recover from it, I hope you all didn't miss me to much, I asked Amma to fill in the best she could and I think she did an awesome job.

The animal quilt is stunning. Wow. It needs to go into a show for sure!!! I'll bet the manufacturer of that fabric would love to see it too!
