Tips on Cutting Borders
I've put wide borders on several of my quilts, especially lately but cutting them never seems to get any easier. It's hard to handle such long pieces of fabric and then cutting them can be a pain. I was just curious if any of you have tips on cutting these wide borders from their fabric.

Remove your selvedge, then use your large ruler and mark the size you want to cut
with a sharp pencil, draw the lines then cut one border at a time. You can do all the
marking first then cut all at once. That's what I do anyway.

If I have long borders to do, I snip about an inch passed what I need and rip off the border. I then accordion the ripped piece on my cutting board and cut both sides of the folded fabric until the border is the correct width.
