    Default Toar??

I received an envelope from American Quilter today, wanting me to become a member. There was a free pattern included. The pattern is Time Travel by Linda J. Hahn. In the cutting directions there is "HST using
TOAR". What does this mean? I have been making quilts since 2001 and have never seen this before.

I just googled this and 'Triangles on a Roll' came up, must be using paper piecing method. I can think of easier ways to make HSTs.
The first one I saw involved using strips and sewing in a zig-zag.
I would be more inclined to use the method in this link

Never heard of that one, either. We learn something new everyday.

This is a new one on me. I think Edyta Sitar uses/recommends this method on her patterns also.

I got the same thing ann and I didn't know what the acronym was either and I googled it. I've been quilting a long time too and had never heard that. Now we are both more informed.

i dont know exactly how many...maybe depends on the size of the hst. I have used those for a long time...great way to make many hsts if you need to, or scrappy project.

FatQuarter shop has these rolls, for various sizes, there's about 700 x 2 1/2" HSTs per roll, and more or less depending on the sizes.

I know there is another on-line shop but for the life of me I can't remember the name.
