    Default Together - We're perfect!

I've been sitting there - sewing at midnight after a 13-hour work day - with another one starting at 7:15 tomorrow morning and ... I've had the most brilliant revelation! (Or so it seems to me under such conditions.)

    Together - we're perfect....
You always pre-wash; I never do
I buy lots of kits and pre-cuts; you never would
Somehow we enhance each other and balance each other out - perfect!

Only LQS fabric for you; anywhere they sell it for me
Together we keep them all in business - perfect!

I like quick easy patterns that can be finished even with my crazy schedule
You like intricate patterns and challenges galore
    Together - perfect!

You start and finish each project before starting another one; I have 7 of them in various stages of completion
I wash them before they leave me for crinkles; you leave them as is for crispness
    Perfect!

    Ain't it great?!

I fit both categories, except that I have closer to 20 UFOs. So long as we don't put each other down for having different time availability/skill levels/interests, I agree that we are perfect together. The majority of my quilts at this point are not particularly intricate, but I make those too. I prefer to design my own, but if you or someone else is more comfortable using a pattern or a kit, that's OK too.

Well, the "you" and "I" are sort of interchangeable. Sounded better than "side A" and "side B" or something. Just thought that instead of seeing it as inequal differences we can look at us as having complementary differences.

If only we could apply your thinking to all the world problems - that's asking a lot - isn't it? Thanks for a nice thought to start my day.
