YOu dream about quilting every night...not quite there yet, but pretty close. Actually haven't had any time to quilt lately, because I am working a ton of overtime and my hubby and I are moving my dad into assisted living. That takes almost all of my time. House neglected, need to grocery shop, and have our guild's quilt show coming up in October with 5 pieces to finish by August 31st. I did layer one piece yesterday to handquilt, so I'm on my way, and have a 4 day quilting retreat with my sister in two weeks.

I play games with myself so I can get something done around the house. I will do a dreaded task (clean the bathrooms, unload the dishwasher, clean the kitchen, dust, whatever) and then I go to the sewing space and set the timer for an hour. When the hour is up, I have to do another dreaded task. Makes the day fly by and I am getting something other than quilting accomplished.

Instead of right sides togather you sew wrong sides togather.
Your two seam rippers are both to dull to cut the thread.

you sew the same seam wrong - 3 times - in 3 different ways. Happened yesterday while I was paper piecing.

I love the thread comment. My husband says I quilt too much when the carpeted stairs are covered in thread tracked up and down by me and the cats. Since he vacumns the stairs, he is not pleased but knows enough to laugh it off.

When you look up and the only light on is the one on the sewing machine.

when you don't notice the great dane has disappeared and when you find her, she is covered in old cheese sauce from the cauliflower you put in the garbage can and there is garbage in her pen that she is chewing on.
