I have to credit my friend Judy. At a retreat she came back from the bathroom. "You know you have been quilting too long when you find thread in your underwear."

You make dumb mistakes. Like cutting fabric too small.

You're being wheeled down the hall from the emergency room for a CAT scan and you notice the vents in the ceiling are log cabin pattern.

I play games with myself so I can get something done around the house. I will do a dreaded task (clean the bathrooms, unload the dishwasher, clean the kitchen, dust, whatever) and then I go to the sewing space and set the timer for an hour. When the hour is up, I have to do another dreaded task. Makes the day fly by and I am getting something other than quilting accomplished.
I do this too. I use 30 minute sometimes too. Depending on what all i need to accomplish. We quilters can be creative. LOL
