Took inventory, so to speak

I am so glad to see that I am not alone. When we moved 2 years ago, within a couple of months, I ended up donating to various organizations 9 vans, full of every kind of fabric except my cottons. I still need to get rid of more and have been making quilts like crazy and giving them away. Just not making them fast enough.
The basement is mine and I have floor to ceiling shelving 30 foot long plus a wall that is 14 foot long. Then there is an L shaped room that is full of boxes on 3 sides, that I haven't touched for 2 years. I figured if I havn't touched it, don't remember what is in it, it is time to give away.

I used to buy for my project only. But since I have started back quilting, I have built up a sizeable stash. I gave five boxes of fabric away to be able to have room for what I had. I love fabric and when I see something I love, I buy it. And I love batiks! I keep trying to go on the wagon and not buy more fabric, but then I see a beautiful fabric and I relapse. I have also decided if my husband goes before me, I will be able to live off my fabric. If I go first it goes to my DGD.

Count me in! And I love the cartoon. Even tho I recently sold off a lot of my fabric at a garage sale, I then proceded to buy more on a trip to Sisters, Oregon! And a lqs here is closing out her fabrics so of course had to lend my support to the cause!
