My Daughter has that machine. Harp/throat size is 9". She loves hers.
I have a Juki TL98QE and Babylock Jane, both are straight stitch only machines. They are closer to the 1000.00 mark. We do FMQ and straight line quilting on each of our machines, beautiful stitches.
You are gonna love your new machine. Free freight is always good.

I know this wil be hard to believe but...I have the Brother PQ1500 but had forgotten I owned it. Lol, I may be getting old..but I digress. Recently I was pushing myself to learn more than stippling and I had a flashback, "I think I have a machine that has a wide throat"..now what happened to that machine. DH reminded me that I still have a half dozen boxes in tha garage that he would love for me to clear out. Well, there was my Brither, almost like new. I hadn't used it much before I retired and moved from Northern California to Fl. I have it out and set up now and I loooove that machine! I do have a couple of other machines but the stitch for FMQ is terrific on my Brother. Have fun with yours!
