You may want to check out the Wondercut Ruler if you make a lot of HSTs. It's great and no squaring up needed.

Thats a nice method but the ruler is sure expensive. Wish Joanns carried it then could use a coupon.
They carry Quilt in a Day rulers and they are not as expensive to begin with.
I like both methods especially because one uses large squares and the other uses strips. That way whatever size your fabric is could judge which method to use.
