Default tool for your Christmas "wish list"

Recently I was whining about my wonky flying geese, when someone mentioned getting Deb Tucker's Wing Clipper tool. Well, that bit of info made me realize that I had bought one a few years ago at a quilt show, put it up, and forgot about it......too late for the quilt I was making. Today, I got it out and began to use it for my current quilt I'm working on and IT IS GREAT!!! It gives you the different sizes you might want and the measurements to "over-cut" them so that when it's trimmed, it comes out EXACT!!! There is a web-site ..... www.studio180design.net I noticed there is a Wing Clipper I and Wing Clipper II now. I have the first one, and it meets all my needs. You might want to "hint" around for this for Christmas. Not affiliated, just a happy customer. Just my two cents.

I'll check out the website. Thank you. I hate flying geese.

I did a mystery quilt several years ago that used a LOT of flying geese. I was very inexperienced and had never made them before. They drove me so nuts that I named the quilt "Screw the Goose". My geese aren't much better now. I need one of those!

I wrote about the Wing Clipper recently. I simply couldn't believe how clever it is. It made all the difference in my most recent quilt, and I am a fussy piece-er. I can't stand to miss points and I am always trying to get better at it.
the only thing that can go wrong is piecing the row of geese together and not lining it up right, or going crooked over the lumps at the goose head.

I want a magnetic straight pin bowl but since I haven't told anyone I don't expect to get it.

Harbor Freight sells them for $3 or so for the small and $4 for the larger...mechanics use them under the car they can just put the screws over their heads, etc. They are wonderful, I have 4 of them..one by each machine and the cutting table and ironing board. HF is on-line!
