Top Quilting the quilt
#1
First time. Ok I see the videos and they all say ditch stitch, but when you get all the way around and come back to the beginning of the square, what do you do? Do you just clip the thread, wont it come out, do you back stitch, do you tye the thread off. I cant see any video that shows you the end results. I have the quilt Totally and I mean Totally pinned and ready to quilt but until I can see how to sart, its laying there.
And Im using flannel as a backing, what type stitch would I use for the quilting with that as a backing. Sorry for all the questions, its just Ive done this quilt and its turned out so good so far and I dont want to screw this up. Thanks

If you're quilting the entire quilt in the ditch, you do not have to free motion quilt afterwards. Free motion is also a style of quilting, also known as meandering. All quilting styles are a matter of personal preference.

I have read and watched videos and I lost my book to the singer I have. So since I dont know what a walking foot looks like, Im hoping the one that is on the machine is it. I know I have the button holer, and I have one more foot , but that doesnt push the material thru..
