    I love the magnetic clasps. Make sure you use fusible fleece or warm N natural batting - just a small rectangular piece and put the prongs through that and Do NOT forget the washer or it is constantly pulling at your lining. I put them in the lining before I sew the purse up. I did one before without the washer and hated it. I finally ripped open the seam I had sewn up last and put the washers in.

    I use lots of magnetic snaps. I put through the lining and batting and also cut a piece of plastic (usually from the top of my oatmeal canister) plus the washer that comes with the snap put the prongs through all the layers and then bend over. I've never had one pull the fabric.
