    I was thinking the same thing, adding borders and the quilting would still mean you put a lot of yourself into the finished quilt, and this panel has everything he mentioned,

    Here is an example. I made a child's quilt for my new grandson and it burned out to have cars and a track and rolling landscape. Perhaps it will give you ideas.
    I found shapes on the internet like coloring book shapes or applique shapes. Of course after I made the quilt I found other larger truck shapes on the internet, but this quilt turned out well I think.
