I don't know about a pattern. All I did was adapt a tote pattern and make it smaller. Then just made 1 small strap and attached it closer together than a normal tote strap.

What a great idea! My daughter uses plastic grocery bags hung between the front bucket seats of her van and I've done the same on a trip. But to make a cloth bag that the grocery bag will fit in would be fun and look much nicer and would be so easy to just pull the plastic bag out and replace. I love this idea. Hanging the bag between the seats from the arm rests keeps the bag handy but out of the way. Wouldn't work with a bench seat but sure works good with the bucket seats!

Great ideas for the car/truck trashbag. I've got some vinyl fabric that would work nicely. Thanks for sharing.

I use a piece of tubing around the "mouth" so it is easy to get into.

I found a pattern for one in a Simplicity or McCalls catalogue at the fabric store. I've never made it -----but they CAN be made and would be so handy!

every time i would put one in my [read the family rig] truck/suv...dh would take it out. even one behind the seat where he doesn't even see it. i personally think it is an excellent idea..a small one for all his kleenex wads lollollollol
