    Ditto - they are also good for putting under your hands when quilting - instead of using gloves or machingers.

    You all have some great ideas. Makes what I've been doing for years look GETO! I found a low box (small juice can or tuna sized), cut top off and put pedal in box and the I still have room for my foot. Pedal is to the end and it can not go any place.

    i use the rubber disk jar openers under my foot pedal. I got several at a home show, advertisements on them usually for elderly directed sales. These are also good for putting under grandchildren to keep them from slipping out of high chairs.

    I ordered a peddle mat from Connecting Threads for $7.95 and it works great .I gave them as Christmas presents to my quilting friends they loved them. No more walking peddles.
