Question Trick or Treat bag size??

Several years ago I made trick or treat bags for my under 3 DGS, now they are older and have been told they are too small. I am sure some of you have made them -- need a size for the 6 + set.
    Thanks.

How about the size of the reusable shopping bags they sell for a dollar in the supermarket?

    What's a DGS?

Pillow cases seem to work well.

Years ago I made my youngest two bags, they weren't as large as pillow cases but close to half the size. Knowing how kids get tired of carring them, I put long handles on them so they could cross them over the shoulder and not fall off. When my daughter's son was about 3 she said I needed to make him on and she wanted a big one that he could grow into. Well he was too short for a long handle at that time, so I made the long handle so that it would nest in the bottom of the bag until needed and added a short one to use for a few years. On all of them I made designs with glow in the dark paint to help make them visible. They still have theirs. I have more to make this year.

This is what I used as a kid! The beauty if you make a pillow case out of Halloween fabric they can also use it as a pillow case for the whole month of October.

Or Darling Grandson. Or depending on the situation you might think of another D-word.

I like the pillowcase/bag idea!! That way it gets used more than one time a year!

I always made the girls new pillow cases, and they used them as Trick or Treat bags. They hold a lot of candy - in fact - too much!

Hmmm ... Pillow cases -- never though of that and they are useful beyond Oct. 31st. I also like the idea of bags with handles -- easier to carry. Thanks for the suggestions!!!
