Jealousy is a terrible affliction we don't have these kind of sales in th UK and quilting goodies are very expensive. I had a look at msqc site, order totalled $56 dollars yippee, postage to UK $50, had to abandon that idea.

Go cutters and dies were 40% off -- so I now have a full size Go cutter, dies of 2 1/2 strips, log cabin, 6 1/2 squares, tumbler and mats for all of them.

    Then I had a 50% off for a new 24 x 36 cutting mat

and wonders of wonders... Joann's had a special of by the 18W Ottlight ($109) and get the 24W Ottlight free ($209)...yes, the more expensive one was FREE!!!! We got extra bulbs for both as they were 50% off.

According to the receipt, I SAVED $525 dollars!!!! Yes, my hubby was helping carry stuff and stack it in the cart. He wanted me to get a new iron but I passed on it.

Talk about a surprise stop, this was one for the books.
I was happy with JoAnn's too. I just bought the doorbuster flannel fabric, but it was only $1.74/yard. I like to make pet beds for the local animal shelter, and usually try to find inexpensive material from thrift or yard sales. But this beats that by a long shot.

Sounds like you hit the sale just right. I went Saturday morning, got 4 yards if anti-pill fleece for 75% off per yard plus and additional 25% off my entire purchase using the coupon. Then I got 2 yards of white on white snowflake fabric on sale 50% off and 3 yards of cute polar bear fabric also 50% off. The door buster was get one Art Bin Supersatchel case and get 2 free! I didn't have any and always wanted some. So in the cart 3 of them went. This morning two are now holding works in progress. I saved alot too!

How cool is THis?? I love that you found what you wanted at the price you wanted. And no explanation had to be made to hubby when you got home. Great buy!

I got some fabric from the next door neighbor for almost nothing 20 yards of quilt shop quality fabrics for a dollar a yard. I was thrilled!
