Yep, same pattern but different colors. Do you know how they will be decorating the nursery? May want to coordinate your colors with nursery scheme. Being a triplet myself, I would like my own unique blanket. They will definitely develop their own personalities.

I love this idea! QB'ers are so talented and creative. I will do this with the next grand baby....whenever that is.

I have a friend that made quilts for twin baby girls and she used the same pattern but one was predominately pink and the other was predominately yellow. They were really cute but different enough to know whose quilt was whose.

When our granddaughter was Bat mitzvahed, her 12 year old brother wanted to wear pink, so he chose a pink tie. Of course the man's tie was way too large for him, so I was roped into making it smaller. I used the small end for the tie and cut off the larger end. Then I had to sew that up in a way that looked decent. It was very nice.

Blue is my favorite color, and I think the blue=boy, pink=girl thing is greatly exaggerated. I used blue teddy bears to make my great-granddaughters quilt, but the teddy bears are wearing hats and flowers. LOL

This is exactly what I was thinking!

Congratulations to you and your daughter, by the way!

Lots of clever patterns out there, and lots of suggestions here. I like the rail fence idea.

I have always loved this simple little pattern. And I think the triplet idea of it would be great. The only version I've ever made was using two fabrics and doing it front and back. And I agree with the person who suggested turquoise.
