Interesting. My daughter chose green, pink and yellow. Her now toddler daughter is already purple. Here are the tops all finished but now I am stumped on how to quilt them. I went with the sunbonnet Sue as some one suggested and used many 2 1/2 inch squares as I have a good amount of scraps plus some friends gave me more 1930s scraps to help me out.

The quilts are lovely! Congratulations on the safe arrival of the girls - you must be so relieved.

I just made three Sun Bonnet Sue crib quilts for a friend's granddaughters. Each one has a different large medallion Sue block dressed in "their" colors. There are smaller blocks matching their sister's Sue block in the top and bottom corners. They also have other smaller assorted blocks but the only ones that are in all three are the ones like the medallions.

I've loved all the wonderful suggestions given in this thread. I am the happy mother of triplets. They are 33 years old now and I'm still trying to figure out how they got so old. We thought of them as blessings and I can say I enjoyed each day of raising them. So now I'm sending special "blessings" to your family.

D9P. Each in a diferrent color. Mint green, buttrty yellow and aqua. You coud do the colored parts scrappy with a constant in center of each nine patch..maybe dove grey? D9P is my favorite quick pattern and it looks complicated. I often dona 2" solid border then a piano key border using the colored scrsppy fabrics.each quilt will be a different color but the grey will be in each them to tie then yogether as triplet group

They are darling. I would crosshatch the squares and continue the diagonal stitching into the borders. It will be quick and easy for you to do THREE of them.

Cool Pictures of the quilted triplet quilts

Here are pictures of the quilts finally quilted. I gave the quilts some time ago but just did not get to posting the final pictures. DD liked the quilts. the triplets are now well over 10 lbs and doing well. They are a little more prone to respiratory issues but not too bad.

    What you wrote.

Same pattern, each one with a different colored border/color emphasis.
