If you crochet, you could crochet some rugs. They really last forever.

The first thing I would do is set up an ironing space in front of the TV and start ironing them and separating them into colors......time consuming, yes, but it gives you something to do during the lengthy commercials. For me, this alone would provide endless inspiration realizing that they not only can be used, as is, for quilts but that the 2 1/2" strips can be cut down into 2" x 2" squares for single and double Irish chain quilts, strips for log cabins, pineapples, piano key borders, pincushions, strip Christmas stockings, notebook or journal covers, mush rugs and on and on. You have a treasure there!

For the 2.5" squares, why not a hexie quilt? The 2.5' squares are a perfect fit for the 1" hexie (measure on the side, not across). Has the advantage of being a portable project. (Pictures stolen from FB, LOL) (Projects I want to try)

What a problem to have! I'm thinking Trip Around the World, Rail Fence, you could make many versions of Bargello, or any of the tube quilt patterns. Warm Wishes would work if you had a focus fabric yardage. Log Cabin, Courthouse Steps, too. Have fun!

Thought I'd better show some of mine, LOL I am using the squares, stitching around the back, attach to each other, along the sides, then I go back and trim any that are enclosed by others. All my flowers will have the same yellow center, I have lots of it! I am using the plastic templates by Brandy's and her method of sewing the hexies together side by side, not front to front. http://www.brandysquiltpatterns.com/

I like Cozy Quilt designs for 2-1/2" strips. https://www.cozyquilt.com/aspx/Produ....aspx?CatID=15 Cactus Wreath (https://www.cozyquilt.com/Aspx/Produ...?productID=456) and Daybreak (https://www.cozyquilt.com/Aspx/Produ...productID=3294) ( & mine http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...s-t253977.html) may be 2 of my favorites from this page! I've also made 'flag' quilts from 2-1/2" strips. I wasn't a big 2-1/2" strip fan til these.... Good Luck! Looks like you've got a ton of fun there!
