I've seen beautiful silk quilts made by Sue Hausman and Steve Wilson (Anita Goodesign Embroidery). Both are great backgrounds for fabulous embroidery. I went to a Sit & Sew by Steve in Feb, and I bought 2 of his design packages specifically to make silk quilts. He recommends fusing the silk to a very lightweight fusible first to prevent the raveling that happens with silk.

I suppose I have too much of everything because what I don't have is enough time (to spend in my sewing room)!!
