I am not ashamed of the WIPs or any thing else I have for my sewing and quilting habit. I do it because I enjoy it and it keeps me sane (most of the time). I might be ashamed of what I would do if I didn't have my habit.

Why bother getting dressed if you plan on staying home all day long? All getting dressed will do is cause you to have to do more work called 'LAUNDRY'...and I REALLY REALLY don't like doing laundry.

I have also been guilty of all of the above, but my own personal shame is: I started a quilt for my daughter as a wedding gift. She has now been married 7 years, the quilt is not finished yet.

Sometimes I sew with my metalic machine needle in with regular thread ... because it has a bigger eye and I can thread it faster/easier .

not all walmarts are terrible employers....I worked at one for two years until I had to quit to take care of my husband. The pay is decent and I loved what I did. You just have to understand that you will be working with lots of women and younger adults. I made great friends and will be going back when hubby is better. As for their quality of fabrics - you get what you pay for...so if you can't afford the really good stuff, walmart is a great option.

So true....It may not keep me sane, but saner than I would be without it. All I know is, it makes me happy, and keeps me focused on the positive stuff...
