I can't think of anything that I am ashamed to admit. I live alone and only have to answer to the dogs; and they aren't talking. I have caller ID so I answer only if I want to. I spend way too much on this hobby, but it's MY money. When I am quilting and don't want to cook for myself, I throw a potato in the microwave for a few minutes, slather butter, cheddar cheese & bacon crumbles on it, put a little broccoli on the side and eat away. Hey, you need carbs for energy to quilt.

I'm not ashamed to admit --I buy fabric where ever I find it. Have found some wonderful fabric on WW sale tables. Once bought a whole bolt of Hoffman fabric for $1 a yard. I know the color wasn't the greatest and the pattern really wasn't either, BUT it sure worked for backings. Another time there was 60" wide fabric --bought 1/2 yard and brought home and laundered. It was gorgeous, went back and bought the whole bolt. again $1 a yard. Have found fabric at garage sales, thrift shops etc, etc. I over dye a lot of the older fabrics. Makes a whole new fabric out of them.
Buy at the LQS too, but nothing wrong with finding a bargain somewhere.

Buy fabric at Walmart. That is just wrong on so many levels.

2-I should be supporting my LQS and stop being so cheap
3-Walmart is a terrible employer and company who I don't want to support at all but I do because they have cheap fabric.

I tell my kids they have to clean and cook as part of their "training for adulthood" so I can skip all that and just keep quilting....
ah the shame, the shame (weeps loudly at the computer)
Think they ever reach an age when they will figure out the truth????

HB swaggered in couple days ago, freshly laundered, leaned against post and hooked fingers in jean pocket, winked and said, "How about it beautiful?" Looked up at my big handsome husband loveingly, handed him a needle, threader and ball of crochet cotton and said, "Sure, big boy, there is a quilt on the rack in other room, go tie it off and I have another one to rack up when that is done. Tie it every other block dear." And did it all without skipping a stitch on quilt top I was working on.
