For this quilt, the way it radiates out from the center, I like the straight line quilting ideas. I don't know if that breaks any "rules" but that's what I would do if that were my quilt.

But it wouldn't be my quilt because there are WAY too many triangles! LOL! It's beautiful and I'm sure whatever quilting you go with will only improve it.

I think this would be lovely on this quilt if you are wanting to do an all over. All of the ideas are really nice but I would do an all over on this one.

I agree that something 'circley' would soften the overall look of this awesome quilt.

I love your quilt! I think the Baptist Fan would look extraordinary with your design. It would give circle movement and also radiate the motion of the piecing.

    Default Quilt Lovely!

I think concentric circles would be wonderful. Stitching in the ditch for such a beautiful quilt would be a pity. After putting so much exacting work in the quilt, why cave in at the end? Why pair run-over, worn out shoes with a brand new dress?

You could even do concentric circles AND echo quilting . . . : )

I would go with an all over design with lots of curves. Since the quilt top has straight lines in it, lthis would set it off nicely.

I agree with the curves - with complex geometric designs, simple meander curves or swirls look great.

You've all given me an idea: what do you think of a spiral starting from the center and just growing out? It might be a bit hard to do--it's a queen size quilt and I'm doing it on a DSM. It would get easier as I move outward...ha, ha. Does anyone know how to geometrically draw such a spiral that I could mark on it?
