Tube Quilt?
#1
I'm not sure if it is called this or not. I have the DVR to record Elenor Burn's Quilt in a day show and the episode was a repeat and my kids deleted it before I could watch it all. I can't find on her site any info for the quilt. She cut strips from several fabric the sewed them all together making a tube, then she cut the tubes into several strips. She then cut the seam between fabric 1 & 12 and that was row 1 for the next row she cut block 12 in 1/2.
Does anyone know the correct name of this quilt pattern, I want to make one out of batiks.
I'm going to try and find it on her site again after the kids go to bed

That's the way she makes her bargellos but yeah, it's still a tube quilt. Just move up half a block each time, cut them in decreasing then increasing widths. You can decrease all the way across for a curved effect or decrease/increase/decrease/increase and move up and down on your cuts for a more wavy effect.

The quilt you are asking about is a Barjello pattern. You can buy a Barjello pattern book that will give you quite a few patterns and complete instructions. It looks like a lot of work, but, goes amazingly fast. My first quilt was a Barjello heart and it is still one of my favorites.
