Default Tula Pink's Butterfly & Peaks & Valleys Patterns

I'm excited! In visiting a few blogs tonite, I found out that Tula Pink has released the pattern for 'The' Butterfly quilt! I admit the first time I saw it I was amazed - it's beautiful (& I'm not a big b'fly person). The pattern is a little pricey - $24.99. Originally was a BOM. Ok so that 'makes sense' for the price... now I don't know if I'm going to make it or not. Are you going to make this one?

Also On the same blog, there are pictures of the Peaks & Valleys quilt which is also amazingly beautiful, the pattern and story are in the the recent American Patchwork and Quilting (Oct 2013).

I love getting excited when I find new potential projects! Anyone thinking of making either of these?

The butterfly appears to me to be a sampler of sorts arranged in a wing shape with the other wing a mirror image. The body seems simple enough to copy.

Why couldn't you use simple little squares that you're familiar with instead of hers. With a couple circular type blocks.

Here's a link to what her quilt looks like: http://www.aquiltinglife.com/2013/05...of-booths.html
With all those patterns I can see why it's pricey.
But, I fell in love the the Boomerang quilt displayed there in another picture!

I am gathering fabric for the Peaks and Valleys pattern in the AP&Q magazine. Love the way they quilted it!

I bought the kit two weeks ago for her Butterfly quilt and I am enjoying working on it so much! It is easy to do so far. I am about half way finished with all of the blocks.
