Tumbling blocks

So... I'd like to make a tumbling block quilt. Made a sample the "regular" way. Then I found a youtube video showing Marci Baker making "Not Your Grandmother's Tumbling Blocks". Looks way more do-able.
Here's the problem... went to Amazon and learned I can buy a used book starting at $85!! Are you kidding me???
Do any of you know of another resource to get this book?

go to her website http://www.online-quilting.com/ - I believe the list price of her ABC book is $29.95 you might be able to find it used cheaper but I think it is worth it. I have the older one but it has several really cool patterns in it.

I am about half way finished with the strips/rows for a queen size tumbling block using Marci Baker's technique but somehow I was able to create a workable pattern from her You Tube video...

I have used the Kaye Woods method that is mentioned earlier and it works fine, you just don't get as much variation on your colours as she uses only three fabrics, but I am sure that you could figure out how to use more fabrics for more colours.

These are not thumbling blocks but sure close - the best part is that they use only half square triangles and squares. I found these pictures on e-bay. I will be making one as soon as I decide on color of backgroud.

There were a couple of other Not your Grandmother's-stars & tumbling blocks- "available at your local quilt store".

Try www.hamiltonbook.com. If this is incorrect, look for Edward R. Hamilton, books on the Internet. They carry books that are out of print and have a huge selection of quilting books and really good prices.

Jan, you are the best source of info!! Thanks. I had seen this before, and forgot it, but "IF" I ever do tumbling blocks, this is how I want to do them. Don't ever leave us, you are a treasure! ;-)
