that makes sense. You use your machine that way when you quilt on a frame. I need to try it on the sewing table. thanks.

When I had read this on another board i had tried it. it did not work for me because my foot pedal was not long enough. my sewing machine does not have foot less sewing feature unfortunately. has anyone encountered and solved this problem? no matter how close i brought the machine towards me i still could not reach the foot pedal.

have you tried keeping it on top and using your hand instead of foot. That might work.

Wow, another great idea! I never would have thought of it myself and why not? Seems like it could possibly make free motion quilting much more enjoyable.

I had never heard of this turning of the machine, but it really makes sense. Love this board with all the creative ideas. Going to try this on a couple of sofa size quilts this weekend, will report back Tuesday to let you know my experience with it. wish me luck!!

Wow what a concept, does it really work. Oh heck I will give it a try tomorrow I am quilting a wall hanging now. This would be great if it really works, almost sounds TOO simple.
