Twas the Night Before Christmas Quilt top- Not Happy
#22
Thanks everyone, I'm gonna do a red border and call it done, I do love the piece, was just a tough quilt to put together due to the slant. Can't put red in between due to the embroidery work and this is the way it's pieced.

It is very pretty. It reminds me of redwork I would add a nice red border to keep it a red and white top I would quilt it in a white thread to not distract from the beautiful prints you have I love the scene in both prints. I love the other fabric you have but would not use it on the front but maybe the as the backing. lovely quilt top

I think the border fabric does not work. It is too bold and adds too many colors into an otherwise two-tone top. I would add a red flange between the center and the first border. I would also add a tone-on-tone red narrow border followed by a patterned white-base read print.

I PMed you. How much do you need. I first thought you needed it for the center but now understand you want it for the borders. I may have enough. What width borders and what are the dimensions of the quilt?
peace
I read your post again and now I am wondering which fabric are you short? I am confused. I have the smaller snow scene pattern that you have in the center of your quilt. Is that what you are short for borders?

I can see you've done great work on this beauty. It just needs a bit of finish work. I agree with the ladies that suggested a solid red border to compliment your stitchery. My gosh what a master piece. I can't wait to see it all finished and polished. Sometimes we just get tired of the long project. Don't give up!
