I also have a two colored quilt that might interest you. It is pretty simple....9 patch blocks and rail fence blocks, set on point. Let me see i I can find a picture of it.

So fresh-looking and pretty - that would certainly work in bright pink and a neutral.

Having checked the history of the 54-40 or fight block, I'm not sure it's the best choice for a Brit!!

I haven't been able to come back and say thankyou any sooner because I was having a weird problem where my keyboard almost stopped working when I came on this site, but I think I've sorted it now, so - thankyou all for your great suggestions. I'm really glad I decided to ask the question here, and now my problem has changed from not being able to think of anything to having lots of good ideas to choose from!

I am enjoying the pics of all the 2 color quilts.

    They all look wonderful!

I made a two color using Eleanor Burns Night and Day pattern. It looks hard but it is very easy as it is just strips and then use the ruler that comes with the book to cut. I made mine to be a king size and the 8 year old grandson liked it and he has a large bed so that is where it went. I had posted it to the board may a year to year and 1/2 ago,

I love all of the suggestions. I saw one on here a few weeks ago. It was called red hot flash.

Sorry, ANNESTHREADS, I totally missed that you were a Brit! Sounds like you got some wonderful other ideas though.
