Default Two Fabric Bargello by Susie Weaver

If anyone has made this quilt, please let me know. I have a few questions I would like to ask. I know that I can contact Susie but would like to ask the Board members first. Thank you.

One of the fabrics is a verigated ( transition) fabric, flows from light to dark & back to light, or dark to light back to dark across the width of the fabric, so if you cut strips they flow through the spectrum.
    What are your questions?

Yes, I have made two using transition fabrics. The first was according to a pattern but I wanted to see if it could be constructed in a tube shape and then cut apart at the end (yes it can and there was a lot less math involved than the pattern called for) The second was expanding the pattern to a queen sized quilt for DS &DDIL. Again, I sewed it in the form of a tube and then cut apart.

Ckcowl! On page 8 it says For Units 19 - 9 subtract 1 1/2 inches from each number beginning with the BASE # Z 20. Does this statement mean subtract 1 1/2 inches from the length of the strips?

Thanks for the video. I have the fabrics but I've been scared to do it.

No you do not cut from the length of the strips. You measure 1 1/2" from either the top or bottom seam (it will tell you on the chart whether it is top or bottom), place a mark at that measurement then fold the strip in half at the mark then you cut the strip. DO NOT CUT on your mark, cut the other end.

You only use 2 fabrics not 3.

The "lightning bolt" part of the quilt is 2 colors: gray and teal. The white square we see is her "sanity label", a piece of paper numbered and pinned on to show what number strip it is. The rest of the bargello looks to be varying shades of gray.
