Hi, I have just finished a Hunter's Star Quilt in red and white and it looks great. The white was tone on tone and the red had a darker red line in it. Google two colour quilt pictures and you will see plenty.

Depending on how much yardage you have, you can do the Oriental Garden quilt. I've made this quilt numerous times and it looks fabulous... it's also quick and the recipient thinks it is super complicated but it isn't.

That's just two of the quilts I have made with it to give you a range look at it. Even a few of the ladies in my quilt guild have done this quilt and it looks awesome every time.

You can easily resize it too

Snowball, nine patch, rail fence - these are all basic blocks, you can find them and thousands more on Marcia Hohn's site, Quilt Blocks Galore ... she is the maven of quilt blocks, some traditional, some her own design. You will find lots of inspiration and ideas on her website.
