    Thumbs up (two) quilt questions *updates!*

    I have been trying for two weeks to get a picture to load, and it just won't do it! I did finish the quilt for my neighbor with cancer. I orange peel'd it with my walking foot, and it went so well. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't obvious that it wasn't perfect! I'll keep trying to get a picture uploaded.

    I took it to their house on a Sunday, and spoke with her husband. She'd been weak Sat, so they went to the ER Sun morning. he said she was doing ok - he thanked me lots for the homemade time intensive (and for not bringing food!). But, by friday of that week she had died. =/. I feel bad about waiting so long to do something for them, and sort of stupid too. =(

    I am ready to start quilting the Kaleidoscope quilt. Took me a long time to match a green thread, I ended up going with polyester, to get a good color. =/. I hope that will be ok . . . I practiced the around and around on a leftover block, and FMQing is SO hard! I will use my walking foot again . . . wish me luck!

    thanks for all of the help and suggestions!~

    Oh, don't ever think you're stupid about doing something for someone sick. Regardless when it was. You didn't know she had no time left here. They won't forget your thoughtfulness. Just be glad you got it done for them.

    How thoughtful of you to make this quilt for your neighbor and don't feel bad that it wasn't done sooner. You had no way of knowing.

    I feel like he must have been thinking I was SO clueless . . . !! If it kept her warm once, I would be happy . . . .

    Thank you ladies! ;0)

    I am sure it made her happy that you did it for her and she enjoyed it for the time she had.

    You did a lovely thing by making that quilt for her. I am sure it was a comfort to her and a blessing as well.

    Her last days were spent with the love, you put into that quilt. Your gift was probably just what she needed, at that particular time. {{{{{ Hugs }}}}}

    The kindness you extended to them will remembered more than the timelyness-your heart is in the right place. God bless

    Your heart was in the right place. Her husband and family will hold onto all the thoughtfulness and kindness you showed them.
