I am an appliquer and am always losing my small scissors. I decided to tie a cord thru one of the handle holes. The cord is about 20" long and tied at the end to make a circle. I wrap the cord around my wrist twice and the weight of the scissors draws the cord up around my wrist and hangs down and out of the way. But when I need them, all I do is lower my hand and the scissors are right there. No more searching for them.

Also, I needed to trace a shape onto template plastic. I used my seam ripper point to trace carefully and slowly around the shape. It was so accurate and when tilted under a light you can clearly see the line. I also use an emory board to smooth the edges of the shape.

I have a cord through the handle of my little scissors and safety pin it to the arm of my chair, That way I don't set them down someplace and loose them.

I use a retractable scissor holder that is clipped to my shirt....can't tell how many times I show up at work with it still clipped on. I pick them up at Hobby Lobby.

Great ideas. I really like the one about the scissors. I can't keep track of mine.
