I think he does!! My daughter was 40 when she birthed him (her only child) and she took him to get his pictures taken every month! He's a ham in front of the camera. That is his KittyCat with him. She's a star, too.LOL

I don't have any UFOs. I vowed when I started quilting that I would finish a project before starting another one. Of course I have only been quilting for nine months :)

I hope you can maintain the momentum!!! I have 50+ UFO's, cause I am a "topper". BUT. I'm going to finish one each month and start nothing new until the end of the year. And I hope I can maintain that momentum!

This is one that I can mark off my list of now 51 projects to complete. This was a gift for someone and I delivered the gift and there was no wow, thank you in fact they didn't even open the quilt and look at it. Can you tell my feelings were just a little hurt. It won't get me down though I am still going to try and complete all my projects.

Love this quilt and it's colors. I know your recipient's lack of wonder at such a great gift hurts deeply. Take that person off your gift list (or at least just buy something from Wally World).

I know your part of Texas, since I lived there when I was little. Keep quilting...liked your blog too.

Wow!! to the quilt and the attitude of the person who got it. It's a great quilt, did you use a pattern? I LOVE quilts like this! It reminds me of the real old-timey ones I used to sleep under. Except the quilting on yours is MUCH nicer!
Please don't let it get you down. Some people would complain if they were hung with a new rope!
Just finishing is worth oooohhhhh's and aaaaahhhhh's so here they are from me.

Iknow just how you feel, my granddaughter's mother is the same way, no matter what you give her she doesn't smile or get excited, sometimes doesn't even say thanks. I knitted up washcloths and socks for Christmas and she never acknowledge the gift. Later on said thank you for the Kohl's gift card, but never about the hand made gifts.

Personally I love the quilt and agree with yourstrulyquilts, so nice and homey feeling, old fashioned warmth. You can certainly feel good about what you made and the great work you did on it!! If she ever wants to give it back I would be more than happy and excited to take it off your hands, it's a work of love!!
