Countrygirl, so sorry about the gift quilt. No comments about the recipient since I don't know the situation...some people don't know what goes into the making of a special quilt for someone....much more than a gift card.
Put my name on the growing list of folks who would love to have received it.
Also, add my WOW!!!!! to the others. What a beautiful quilt!!! Very nice quilting too!!
I'm making one now that no one says WOW when I show it to them. I like it but then I'm not making it for a gift but for my own couch. My 94 year old mom likes it so there!!
Next time show the WOP to the possible recipient, if they are wowed, give it to someone who loves it, or KEEP it yourself!!

I agree to, if patterns counted then I've got nearly a thousand ufo's and personally I don't think I could stand the thought of that, LOL!! No a pattern is a future wish waiting to happen.

A UFO is not a pattern or project that has been waiting for you to start.
    Yes here too.
Yes, but thank God, or I'd actually have 1000 UFOs!

You'd find me at my sewing machine dead!

Well all my 51 projects, WIP, UFO or I guess we could call them a PHD (project half done) still qualify. I was hoping I might get to cross something off my list if it did not qualify. I consider it a project if the material is cut and I have started piecing it. Thank you all for your support and nice comments.

February's UFO done and finished and posted
    http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-36586-1.htm

And at some point soon, I'll get a picture of January's (which was finished January 3 and is still waiting to go anywhere)

    I'm new - but I'm in!

I'm suprisingly on track as well. The blue/gold rag quilt was cut into strips and I just shoved it back on the shelf because I couldn't make a decision on a "pattern"

The turtle rag quilt had been collected/cut into squares for years - and I finally got the nerve to just use a solid color (mostly) for the back.

If my (old) sewing machine will cooperate, I'll finish another tonight. -- It's a wedding gift in a braid pattern.

I saw this posted on my quilting group and thought you might get a kick out of it. So enjoy!
