I need to trim and get the binding on, but so much pain in my left shoulder I don't think I can do it today. Going in for surgery on the shoulder on Tues to replace the joint so will be out of commission for a few weeks. I am sure I can get the rest of the ufo's for the year done after I get my "wing" fixed. Please send lots of positive thoughts my way, I would really appreciate it!!

    Thanks!!! I was wondering that too. I was just too shy to ask.
    WIP = Work in Progress
    UFO = Unfinished Object

    different quilters have different standards for what is which. i call projects WIPs from the time i've started cutting until the top is done. after that, they're UFOs.
    Sorry, my computer was acting up earlier. I meant to say thank you, as that would have been my next question! :)

    Okay, I did it! I finished my first UFO! So glad to have this challenge to encourage me to dig in my UFO pile rather than just starting another top. This pattern is "Fractured Crystal" by Linda Ballard. I saw her present it a few years ago on Simply Quilts and fell in love with it. I taped the show then copied down all the instructions as she presented them. There are a few "oops" (like the border not laying flat becuase I put them on before I knew how to put them on correctly), but I'm still extremely pleased with the result, and it finished!! :-) Now on to the next UFO!
