She loves birdhouses and I think she'll like it. Now on to the next one...
Dancing Needle: Your finished UFO is beautiful. Great job.

I was afraid of FMQ too (that's why I have so many UFO's) but meandering is what got me over the hump. I'm almost ready to try a FMQ design...maybe my next one...

Thanks everyone for your nice comments! :)

Wow! I only have one UFO! It just needs sandwiched and quilted. The only reason it never got completed is because it was to be for my 26 yr old son, and I almost finished it, but he died in a car wreck. That was in 03. Didn't think I would ever finish it, but my 18 yr old son wants it now. Guess I'd better get busy! I'm always fighting to buy material so I rarely have much stash or any UFO's. Thats a good thing right? lol

That's one of the many reasons I think the turtle is my favorite. =)

This is an encourageing thread. When my daughter moves out at the end of May, I will get my sewing room. I have been dreaming of it for years now. My fabric and UFO's have gotten out of hand and I can hardly wait to start sewing and finishing projects. I may not get one done every month but I may get one done every couple of months if I persist. I have loved reading the posts and looking at all the beautiful quilts, wall hangings, etc. You people have inspired me to get to work on all my WIP's and UFO's.

i look at it this way ....

i was already behind. that's why i have such a high pile of UFOs. so i'm getting a bit behinder.

no biggie. (ok. well, er, ummmm ... maybe my behind is a biggie, but whether or not i keep on schedule in quilting is not. )

all it really means is that i'll be ready for next year's UFO Challenge. so maybe i'm ahead of schedule.

the logic works for me. feel free to borrow it.
